Attracting & retaining talent

An essential ingredient to any successful hotel is the quality of staff and management it attracts. We pride ourselves as being fair and caring employers who get the best out of our people.

Many of our staff members have approached us because we offer a unique exposure to a portfolio of hotel brands and different hotel operations. This range helps people decide what style of hotel is right for them – limited service, full service, 3-star, 4-star, etc. - and provides exposure to the type of challenges which they would otherwise not experience.

When required, we can leverage long-established contacts with specialist recruiters.

We use job profiling tools to make sure we bring the specialist skills we need into the business, such as general managers, operations managers, and sales and revenue managers.

A future with CML

Helping managers and staff see that they have a future in the company and that their contribution is appreciated is critical to our ongoing success.

We ensure they are rewarded in line with market norms and business success.

Our HR policies and procedures make sure staff members are treated fairly and as individuals within the business.

Our staff members value the training and development we provide and the high standards we set for our operations.

One-to-one six-monthly performance reviews help each individual member of staff plan for their future and align their development with up-coming opportunities.

We carry out staff satisfaction surveys on a regular basis to identify where improvements can be made.
